Carol was born January 17, 1949 in Ft. Collins, CO to Ralph & Esther Koch. Her father, Ralph, preceded her in death on September 29, 2010. Her mother, Esther (Ed) Weigel of Drake, ND, survives Carol. Also surviving, are her three sons; Larry Rick Mikawa and granddaughter, Kellieanna, of Anchorage, AK; Larry Wayne Gordon of Casper, WY; Dennis (Karin) Mikawa & grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, Wesley and Josslyn of Littleton, CO. Four sisters, Marsha (Henry) Brozovich of Denver, CO; Wanda Kamps of Spokane, WA; Sandra (Robert) Walker of Summit, UT; Beverly Sanchez of Melbourne, FL; Two brothers, Gerry Koch of Cadiz, KY; Zacky (Sharon) Koch of Laramie, WY; and includes numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was a 1967 graduate of Brighton High School. She spent many years working in retail sales where she enjoyed making new friends and sharing her love for Jesus. Most recently as a member of Calvary Temple, Carol was a dedicated prayer warrior for missionaries serving around the world. She was also an active member of the Calvary Temple "Prime Timers".
Carol passed quietly into the arms of our Lord Jesus on February 10, 2014. We love her “big much” and will miss her beyond our ability to express.
A celebration of her extraordinary life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Olinger Moore Howard Chapel located at 4345 W. 46th Avenue, Denver, CO 80212.
