Bill was born October 19, 1957 in Akron, Ohio to Malcolm Benjamin Powell and Miriam Adele Powell.
Bill was married to Jennifer S. Powell nee Dole on February 14, 1992, in Aurora, CO. He met Jennifer when she called for a locksmith after Rose locked herself, Dan and Jennifer out of their apartment.
Bill was a boilermaker from 1976-1983 building power plants all over the United States. Bill owned A-Abbra-Cadabra Locksmith from 1983 to present. He was a successful businessman, and loved his customers and suppliers.
Bill had many hobbies and interests. He loved basketball, baseball, and football. He enjoyed crossword and logic puzzles, going to the casino, summer picnics and spending time with family. Bill loved the theater, musicals, black and white movies, and food, and could turn anything into a joke.
Bill is survived by his wife Jennifer, children Rose Eckels (James), Denver, Dan Busa (Becki), Aurora, Richard Powell (Jess), Golden, Bryant Powell, Aurora, grandchildren: Etienna Toft, Denver, Harper Eckels, Denver, Clifton Powell, Golden, Magnolia Powell, Golden, Piper Powell, Aurora, siblings, Dave Powell, Nancy Parsons, Kathy Lawson, Becky Bachtel, Tim Powell, and Debbie Richardson, In-laws, Gail Powell, Joyce Powell, Ron Lawson, Ed Bachtel, Melany Powell, and Bill Richardson. He is also survived by his beloved pets, dogs- Beau, Bogie, and Ollie. cat- Taz.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Malcolm Benjamin Powell in 2006 and Miriam Adele Powell in 2011, and siblings, Benjamin Powell in 2007 and John Powell in 2018.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, 8600 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. 2:00pm. A visitation will be held Friday, March 3, at Olinger Hampden Mortuary, 8600 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231, from 5 to 7:00pm.
