Betty Irene Sutton

Mrs. Betty Irene Sutton, age 78, peacefully passed away in her residence on June 7, 2020. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Louise, and her daughter, Geneva. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Marty; son, Martin (Sandy); grandchildren: RyAnn (Andrew), Christopher, Joseph (Asano) and Joshua (Brittany); great-grandchildren: Dakota, Chris, Olympia, Calvin, Zachary, Connor, Kohana, Leina, Geneva, Maiya, and Clark; and her siblings Linda, Robert, and Nancy.

Betty, better known as Great Grandma, was born to Eli and LouiseLittleton on July 6, 1941 in Minford, OH. Betty graduated from Minford high school and continued on to earn her degree from Columbus University in 1961. She married her lifelong partner, Marty, on October 13, 1962 and together they raised two children in Denver, CO after relocating in 1966.

Great Grandma was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The love Great Grandma gave was a love without condition. She lived a simple life. It didn’t take much to make her happy—a phone call, a card, a visit or a big win at bingo. Above all though, her family were the most important people in the world to her. She lived to make their lives better and was proud of them all.

A Graveside Service will be held on June 19, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO.
