Barbara grew up in Aurora, NE, Albuquerque, NM and Pueblo, CO. She graduated from Pueblo East High School in 1961, and then graduated from St. Mary Corwin School of Nursing in 1965. Later in life, she earned a degree in bookkeeping from PCC in 1986.
Barbara and David Schultz were married in Pueblo, CO on the 13th of October, 1965. They lived in Salt Lake City prior to moving to Denver, CO where they began raising their two children, Robyn and Raymond.
After David's death, Barbara moved to Pueblo to be near her mother, Dorothy. She became very involved in everything related to her children's school, from being a playground attendant to being the band mom that everyone loved. Barbara was also an avid bird lover, raising multiple parakeets and Peekaboo, her and Robyn's African Grey Parrot.
Survived by her son, Raymond Schultz, and her brother, John Baker, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, David Schultz, her daughter, Robyn Schultz, and her parents, Dorothy Henthorn and Alec Baker.
A memorial service for Barbara will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231.
