Barbara Ellen Ferrell

Barbara Ellen Ferrell, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on March 13, 2024. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Bruce Bolin Ferrell, her parents Freda and Vern Myers, three sisters, and two brothers.

Barbara's legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished by her sons, Scott (Ronda) and Rod (Jackie), as well as her adoring grandchildren Benjamin (Kacy), Lindsey (Justin), Lauren (Taylor), and Garrett. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Brooks, Baylor, Taysom, Vivienne, Walker, and Sophia, whose laughter and joy brought immense happiness to her life. Barbara is also survived by several nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.

A dedicated nurse by profession, Barbara's compassion and empathy touched the lives of countless patients and their families. Her unwavering commitment to caring for others was a true testament to her selfless nature and servant's heart.

Outside of her career, Barbara found solace and joy in her hobbies. She had a green thumb and could often be found tending to her garden, where she cultivated beauty and tranquility. Barbara also had a talent for crafting and enjoyed making cards, using her creativity to spread love and joy to those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in honor of Barbara's memory.

Barbara will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and boundless generosity. She touched the lives of all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of compassion and grace that will continue to inspire us all.

A visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
