Anna Margaret Evans

Anna Margaret Begler Evans passed away in hospice at the Longmont United Hospital on June 3, 2014. She was 89 years old. She had been a resident at the Life Care Center Of Longmont, Colorado for the last twenty one years.

Anna was the first of four children born to George and Julia Sawazhki Begler. George had eight children when his wife Katherine passed away and Julia was a widow with three children of her own when they married. Anna was born in the family home in Ellis County Kansas on November 13, 1924. Th complete family consisted of George Begler, Jacob Begler, Mary Belger Waldschmidt, John Begler, Rosalis Beger Reidel, Conrad Begler, Peter Begler, Ludwina Begler Schaffer, Julius Sawazhki, Richard Sawazhki, Mary Sawazhki, Anna Begler, Henry Begler, Theordore Begler, and Andrew Begler.

Anna grew up in the farming community of Ellis Kansas. When Anna was old enough to work outside the home she got a job as Cook at the Ellis City Cafe where she met her future husband, Warren Evans. Anna and Warren married and moved to Denver, Colorado in 1947. Anna and Warren had six children, Eugene Melvin, Nancy Ann, George Waarren, Loretta Julia, Christopher Eugene, and Linda Michelle. Warren passed away in 1984 and her son George passed away on Christmas Day 1999. Anna was a homemaker until she was stricken with a condition that left her bound to a wheelchair at the afe of 48. Ann Evans was an avid Bronco Fan and watched nearly every game. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to Blackhawk to play the slot machines.

She is survived by her step sister Ludwina Begler Schaffer of LaCrosse, Kansas; children, Eugene Evans (Cora) of Aurora, Colorado, Nancy Evans Miller (Steve) of Longmont, Colorado Loretta Reynolds of Longmont, Colorado, Christopher of Aurora, Colorado, Linda Heil (Randy) of Longmont Colorado; grandchildren, Kim Goodwin Hand (Ted) Aurora, Colorado, Shane Miller (Michele) of Yumma, Arizona, Tim Evans of Aurora, Colorado, Ryan Goodwin of West Hollywood, California, Whitney Heil Rink (Wesley) of Longmont, Colorado, Tahsa Heil of Longmont, Colorado, Seth Cain of Fort Collins, Colorado, Jordan Cain of Fort Collins, Colorado, Lexi and Lacy Cain of Longmont, Colorado; and great-grandchildren, Addison Hand, Teddy Hand, Brecken Rink, Alexis Evans, Andruw Evans, Marc Maninang, Alyssa Miller, Ean Miller and Tyler Miller.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10-11am followed by a funeral service beginning at 11am at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in Denver, Colorado. Please make a donation in Anne's name to The Epilepsy Foundation.
