Robert Lee Price, 78, died Wednesday, 11-29-17, in Avon, Indiana from Parkinson’s disease. He was born in Houston, TX in 1939 to Glenn and Dot Price then moved to Denison, TX, where he later raised his family.
Robert was the drum major for the Denison High School marching band and married his high school sweetheart before serving in the Navy. Upon his return from service he was employed by the M-K-T Railroad and after many years moved to Omaha, NE to work for the Union Pacific. Upon retirement he moved to Indianapolis, IN, to be close to his grandchildren. Robert was a family man first and foremost always being a good role model. He was also a good friend to many along the way, making lasting friends wherever he made home. Robert served as an elder in the Presbyterian Church, was an avid gardener, and an artist who created watercolors and original beaded Christmas ornaments that won ribbons at the county fair.
Visitation will be 9:30am to 10:30am, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, TX.
Graveside service will be 11:00am, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, TX with Dr. Lander Bethel of First Presbyterian Church in Denison, TX officiating.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret (Manning), his proud daughters Tracey Price Kriauciunas and Leigh Ann Price, his adored grandchildren Audra and Vytas Kriauciunas, his big brother Glenn Gordon Price, Jr.
He was predeceased by his also adored son-in-law Aidas Kriauciunas.
Robert was a gentleman and a gentle man - kind, friendly, caring and supportive. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
