Bill Gene Rowley, age 87, of Denison, Texas peacefully passed away with his family by his side on Saturday March 24, 2018. Bill was born August 21, 1930 to Leona and Jesse Rowley. Bill married the love of his life Jewel Renner on December 28th 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bill and Jewel were faithful members of Oakridge Baptist Church in Denison, Texas. Bill received his Bachelor’s Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, he also served in the United States Air Force. Bill enjoyed camping and water skiing, but his utmost priority was his family. He built numerous homes for himself and Jewel as well as for his two sons.
Bill is survived by: brother Dale Rowley and wife Jolene of Houston, Texas; sister Joy King of Sacramento, California; sister Darlene Beck and husband John of Gainesville, Texas; and sister Linda Andrews of Elk City, Oklahoma; son David Rowley and wife Ruth of Denison, Texas and son Kent Rowley and wife Rebecca of Denison, Texas. Grandchildren: Jesse Rowley of Denison; Emily Furtick and husband Parker of Sherman, Texas; Amanda Russell and husband Chase and her brother Bradley; great grandchild Caroline Jewel Russell of Elk City.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Jewel Rowley; father Jesse and mother Leona Rowley; Brother Wayne Rowley.
A graveside service for Bill will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Oakridge Cemetery, Denison, Texas.
