Bill Curtis

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, TX 75020 with Bob Edwards officiating. For those unable to attend, the family will receive friends at the home.

Bill was born June 10, 1940 in Denison, Texas, the son of Willie Byrd “Bill” Curtis and Ruby Pearl Montgomery Curtis. He married Mary J. Barnhill in Durant, Oklahoma on October 20, 1964. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He enjoyed fishing; riding motorcycles; spending time with his family; old cars; Nascar Sundays; Saturday mornings with his buddies at Napa; was hardworking, quick witted and the life of the party and very respected by all. Everyone looked up to him.

He is survived by his wife Mary of Denison; sons Raymond Curtis and Kevin Curtis of Kemp, Oklahoma, Kelly Curtis & wife Shelly of Sherman, Texas, Scott Curtis of Paris, Texas; a son in addition to his natural sons, Joe Mitchell Torres of Denison; daughters Anngee Flinn & husband Shawn of Denison, Karen Hamilton & husband Craig of Pottsboro, Texas; 14 grandchildren and was looking forward to seeing his first great-granddaughter in October.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Curtis, sisters Helen Bell and Lillian Perkins.
