Dearest Mr Irby, Pam, and Lyndol:
We were dressed for the funeral when our son and his family called to say they were coming over to stay with us because their electricity was out from the ice storm and the kids were freezing. We loved Bernice and wanted to love on you also.  Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. 

Mrs Irby was my English teacher at McDaniel Junior high school in Denison back in the late 1960's, and she was one of the nicest and sweetest persons I ever met.  She will be greatly missed and my sincerest sympathy to Lyndon Irby Sr and Lyndon Irby Jr.  God bless you all from Steve Elmore

So many precious memories.  She alway made me feel so loved even when she was putting her finger over her lips while I was in the library.  Her beautiful smile was full of the love of Jesus.
She always reminded me that we were relatives and that I was loved.

Sending our love and deep knee prayers...we have such wonderful memories with Mrs. Irby during our time in school. Such a sweet beautiful lady. May she always rest in the divine comfort of our Jesus.

So sorry to read about your sweet wife's passing.  I remember her well as the very 
nice and sweet person that she was.

To the Family of Ms. Irby, she was a very kind and loving person to all of the many young people that passed through the Denison Schools.  She was an inspiration and influenced many of us in ways that we could not even understand at that time. I truly enjoyed being around her and working in the library with her. Hold onto to your many memories of life with her.

She was always so kind and caring to us, and we are sure she will be greatly missed, but she leaves behind so many wonderful memories. Mrs. Irby was such a gift to all. My only regret that I never got to have her as my teacher. Loved seeing her in later years, such a gracious and kind lady. We could all learn from her. My condolences go out to her family. God bless you all.
