Visitation for Anna Louise will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 18, 2015
at Bratcher Funeral Home, 401 W. Woodard St., Denison, Texas,75020.
Funeral services for Anna Louise will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Bratcher Funeral Home with family friend Judge Horace Groff officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brandon Crouse, Jason Russell, Shane Kenney, Colton Kenney, Jacob Russell, Andrew Russell, Jack Hanan, and Dan Sharp.
Anna Louise was born June 30, 1936 in Mead, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late C.W. and Ruby Petty. She married Ray Singleton May 22, 1953 in Denison. She attended Golden Rule and Denison High School. The most rewarding job in her lifetime was being an instructor at Lark Child Development Center and was a positive influence on many lives.
She was a pianist for Sunnyside Baptist Church for many years. Anna Louise will be remembered for her love of the Lord, love of her family and was a Dallas Cowboy and Dallas Star fan. She had many gifted talents, one being music, her love of painting and her outgoing personality. She never met a stranger and will be dearly missed. The Lord took her home, where she now has her mansion on the Hilltop in heaven.
She is survived by four daughters, Tanya Leonhart, Lacretia Shearer, Javana and husband Roger Langley, Shanna and husband Jeff Kenney; grandchildren Brandon Crouse, Tamara Hanan, Jason Russell, Brook Sharp, Jessica Russell, Shane Kenney, and Colton Kenney; great-grandchilden Ashley Crouse, Jacob, Andrew and Olivia Russell, Madeline Beck, Halie and Trace Sharp, Jaxon and Nevin Hanan; great-great-grandaughter Alexis Crouse; brother-in-law Calvin Stonecypher; aunt Stella Kirkpatrick; many nieces, nephews and friends, as well as her Stonebrook family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Ray, her husband of over 50 years; sons-in-law John Shearer and Bob Skelton; brother Billy Ray Petty Sr. and wife Margaret; sister Maxine Stonecypher; father and mother-in-law M.L. and Effie Singleton; sister-in-law Alma Bates and husband Amos; brother-in-law Cleo Singleton and wife Lucille; sister-in-law Norma Turner; sister-in law Fay Shone and husband Ray.
A mother holds her children’s hand for a short time, but holds their hearts forever. We Love you and will miss you dearly Momma.
