Sylvia Silverman, in the fashion by which she lived and loved her life, with elegant grace, peacefully passed away at her home in Boynton Beach, Florida, surrounded, honored and adored by her family on July 13, 2022.
Sylvia was a dynamic woman who fully engaged in a life of beauty, color and creative endeavors. In her early years, Sylvia was drawn to the world of classical ballet, developing a passion for dancing, performing, teaching and training those lucky young dancers through her own business, ‘Studio of Ballet Arts”. She then transitioned to teaching at the “Dancing Arts Center” where she worked with hundreds of dancers for over 25 years before moving to Florida. In her latter years, Sylvia learned to tap, delighting herself and audiences on stage, while performing with the “Florida Follies” until just last year.
Sylvia shared in an “old -fashioned” love story, married to and survived by her husband, Maurice Silverman, for just short of 70 years. Maurice once referred to his wife as a “Goody Two Shoes”. Sylvia opened her heart and home, offering help, support and kindness, wherever she saw a need. As a result, her family/friend circle was wide even extending to Israel, where she warmed and won the hearts of relatives. Over the years, Sylvia and Maurice’s home became home for many. This positive impact changed, enhanced and enabled individuals to fulfill their dreams. Sylvia’s kind soul extended to animals as well. She bred and showed Bichon Frise bringing many to championship status.
For those of you fortunate to have been in Sylvia’s wake experiencing her class, warmth, love, friendship and energetic spirit, we thank you.
There will be a private ceremony followed by an Open House for friends and family from 2-4 on Wednesday, August 17th, at 11 Autumn Rd, Medway, MA.
