Sylvia Cohen lived the first half of her life in Brooklyn and Queens, New York.  At 50, she would live the next 44 years in Florida, first in Lauderdale Lakes and the last 20 years in Delray Beach.  Sylvia and her husband traveled the world after the children grew up and left the nest.  They were in every part of Europe, they visited Israel, Costa Rica, Mexico, They spent many of their summers in the bungalows of upstate New York.  She had many friends and close relatives, most of whom have passed before her.  In her later years, she played mah jongg in her community and spent her quiet times knitting and doing needlepoint.  She enjoyed watching tennis tournaments, her two favorites being Serena Williams and Roger Federer.  She loved old movies such as Random Harvest, The Quiet Man and Seven Brides For Seven Brothers.  She relished westerns, especially those with John Wayne.  Her favorite foods were meat loaf,  turkey with cranberry sauce, lox & bagels, canteloupe & honeydew, Caesar salad, and pizza with pepperoni & anchovies.  Sylvia loved to read and always had a book in her hands.  Her favorite authors were Tom Clancy & James Patterson.  

Sylvia Cohen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul, by 10 years.  She is survived by the most important people in her life... her two daughters, Lenore Goldfeder and Debra Trani, son-in-law James Trani, her grandsons Jarrod Goldfeder, Brian Goldfeder, her granddaughter-in-law Frislanda Goldfeder and her great-grandchildren Sebastian Paul Goldfeder and Cordelia Rose Goldfeder.
