Harvey was born and raised in Cleveland and lived there until retiring to Delray Beach, Fla. His career was spent building Olympic Steel, a company he began working at in the 1950s before becoming a partner soon thereafter. He loved action movies, popcorn and bread. He was a huge Cleveland sports fan, a Browns season Ticket Holder for over 50 years and was even watching Guardians baseball daily until his passing. In retirement, he spent many years traveling with his wife Natalie (deceased), visiting almost every continent and most countries. Everything he did was to try to improve his and his family's lives. Family was his priority.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law Cindy Adelstein; grandsons Marc Posen, Ryan (Julie) Posen, T.J. (Brandy) Macpherson, Adam (Kim) Adelstein, Chad Adelstein and Kyle (Elizabeth) Adelstein; and great-grandchildren Joshua and Lauren Posen, Graham Macpherson and Joey, Todd and Goldie Adelstein.
Harvey was preceded in death by his beloved wife Natalie and his children Shelley Posen, Debbie Macpherson and Bruce Adelstein, as well as his son-in-law Duncan Macpherson.
A private service was held in Florida. Contributions may be made to the Anti Defamation League (adl.org/take-action/ways-to-give).
