Florence S Coleman

Florence was married to her husband Leonard Coleman for 64 years who preceded her in death, and is survived by her two sons Rick and Brian.

She was preceded in death by her younger brother Phillip Schecter and older brother Manny Schecter.

Florence devoted her life to her art, was; a graduate of The Girls Commercial School for the Arts in Brooklyn New York, the Willsey Institute of Art & Design with advanced studies at Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Boca Museum of Art.

Florence was a sketch artist for the dress designer Lenkowski at LeRoi of New York and as a professional fine artist was the recipient of many fine art awards, was accepted into the prestigious National Exhibition of Contemporary Paintings at the The Society of Four Arts, featured in one women shows including at the Mae Volen Art Center, the North Shore Artists Alliance "Women in the Visual Arts Exhibition", and was commissioned to paint CEO’s, Board of Directors and Non-Profit Founders.

Donations honoring her memory may be made to TrustBridge Hospice Care.

A graveside service for Florence will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 State Road 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
