DELCAMBRE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Theodore “Theo” W. Perrin, the former Sabble Hebert, age 93, at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Herb Bennerfield will be the celebrant for the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am on Friday at Evangeline Funeral Home until service time.
A native and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Perrin passed away at 10:15 am on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Abbeville General Hospital.
Mrs. Perrin was a beautician in Delcambre for 50 years and was also one of the first female barbers in the parish. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and St. Anne’s Altar Society.
Mrs. Perrin enjoyed reading, sewing and playing cards and pokeno with her friends. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Perrin is survived by her three daughters, Ruth Ellen Chatagnier, Gayla Vinet, and Peggy Landry and her husband Jimmy all of Delcambre; one son, Jerry “Steve” Perrin and his wife Ann of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren, Marcelle Chapman and husband Bryant, Robin Suire and husband Jody, Matthew Chatagnier and wife Christine, Elise Broussard and husband Kimble, Toby Vinet and wife Paula, Brennon Vinet and wife Terra, Jerry Perrin and wife Kristin, Kathy Blanchard and husband Chad, and Amy Perrin; twenty great grandchildren, Amanda Chapman, Christine Dusek and husband Brian, Joseph Chapman, Lucas Suire, Leslie Suire, Creighton Broussard, Colin Broussard, Michelle Hachey, Elizabeth Hachey, Lacey Desormeaux, Brai Vinet, Kinner Vinet, Kain Vinet, Tinsley Vinet, Kherington Vinet, Slayden Vinet, Payton Vinet, Kenleigh Perrin, Carson Perrin, and Parker Blanchard. She is also survived by one brother, Minos Hebert and his wife Rita of Alaska; one sister, Janet LeBlanc of Delcambre; and her Godchild, Cynthia Delcambre of Delcambre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore “Theo” W. Perrin; parents, Joseph and Aline Saunier Hebert; two brothers, Murphy and Warren Hebert; two sons-in-law, Robert Chatagnier, Jr. and Dale Vinet; and
one brother-in-law, Neil LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff of Eastridge Nursing Home in Abbeville, and Dr. Vina Baker. They also would like to express their appreciation to her caretaker Faye Dore and her good friends who visited with her daily Emedia Vincent and Evelyn Gaspard and her very special roommate Betty Schexnayder.
