DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Dalton Broussard, the former Marjorie Thibodeaux, age 93, at 11:00 am Thursday November 13, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will be follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:30 am on Thursday until service time.
A native and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Broussard passed away at 3:00 am on Monday November 10, 2014 at her residence.
Marjorie was a very devout Catholic with strong ties to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Anne’s Society. Her most treasured memories were those spent with family and friends. She leaves behind many fond memories to be cherished by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Bowen and husband Ricky of Delcambre and Maxine Johnson and husband Robert of Houston; son, Michael Broussard and wife Elina Faye of Abbeville; daughter-in-law, Linda Labit of Abbeville; sisters, Judy LeBlanc of Lafayette, Janet Thibodeaux of Delcambre, and Ramona Lindbergh and husband Charles of New Orleans; grandchildren, Kristopher Bowen and fiancé Emily Gautreau, Jason Huval, Shannon Francois and husband Jason, Bart Johnson, Michael Broussard Jr. and wife Suzette, Matt Broussard and wife Shannon, Brandt Broussard and wife Catherine, Stacey LeBlanc, Paige Duplechien and husband Nicky, Julie Acosta and husband Gil, and Beau Broussard and wife Kristie; great-grandchildren, Corinne and Dalton Francois,Peyton Huval, Asa Trail, Talon Duplechien, Briggs and Kylie Broussard, Alexandra, Ashton, and Nicholas Acosta, and Luke, Phillip, Andre, Lexi, and Thomas Broussard; and extended family, Jose Luis Merino,Hank Schexnayder, and good friend Verly Landy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Broussard; son, Peter Lawrence Broussard; daughter, Sheila B. LeBlanc; granddaughter, Patrice LeBlanc; brother, Carrol Thibodeaux; and sister, Heloise Neef.
Pallbearers will be Kris Bowen, Jason Huval, Bart Johnson, Peyton Huval, Beau Broussard, Brandt Broussard, Mike Broussard, and Matt Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Asa Trail, Talon Duplechien, and Hank Schexnayder.
