Gloria Hebert Romero

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. AJ Romero, the former Gloria Hebert, age 83, at 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 am Wednesday until time of service.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Romero passed away at 9:10 am on, Monday, January 11, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Romero was a wonderful cook and had a great collection of cook books and she loved plants and flowers. She also had a magnificent collection of angels that her children and grandchildren gave to her through the years. She leaves these things and a wonderful legacy for her family to cherish.

She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Bourque and husband Russell and Katherine Broussard and husband Robert all of Youngsville; Deborah Nielson of Broussard and Janet Fontenot of Lake Charles; four sons, Richard Romero of Maurice; David Romero and wife Barbara; Michael Romero and Kevin Romero all of Youngsville; one brother, Allen J. Hebert of Houma; one sister, Gail Louviere and husband Gene of New Iberia; twenty two grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, AJ Romero; one daughter, Jackie Ann Romero; parents, Adam and Olive Romero Hebert and four sisters, Beatrice Moreland, Nell Hebert, Bernice Bourque and Pat Johnston.

Pallbearers will be Cory Bourque, Brandon Broussard, Rusty Fontenot, Adam Neilson, Troy Bourque and Jason Romero. Bobby Broussard will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
