Eva Mire Duhon

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Eva Mire Duhon, age 69, at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Tuesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Delcambre, Eva passed away at 2:00 am on, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Iberia Medical Center.

Eva enjoyed listening to Zydeco music and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Wayne Duhon, Jeanette Duhon, Nancy Duhon, Janet Duhon, Johnny Duhon and April Duhon all of Delcambre and Raymond Duhon, Jr. and wife Shellie of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, Steven Duhon, Jamie Hebert, Nikki Hebert, Johnny Duhon, Jr., Mika Duhon, Dayton Latiolais, Arbrey Latiolais and Ty Duhon; three great grandchildren, Emma, Daya, Ava and one on the way; and two brothers, Murphy Mire and Mercy Mire.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Obin and Marie Gerard Mire; one sister, Tut Mire and two brothers, Ophie Mire and Lurphy Mire.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Duhon, Raymond Duhon, Jr., Johnny Duhon, Jr., Wayne Dinette, Dusty Duplantis and Stacy “Fred” Hebert. Johnny Duhon and Dayton Latiolais will be honorary pallbearers.
