DELCAMBRE-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church for Claudette Theriot LeBlanc, age 90, who passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at her residence.
Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Fr. Buddy Breaux will officiate at the services and Jonathan Landry will serve as lector.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.
Claudette was a native and resident of Delcambre. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the church choir.
Claudette’s children and grandchildren fondly remember her love of cooking. She enjoyed cooking for them, and most importantly feeding them, hungry or not. She made the best fruitcakes, peanut butter balls and anything sweet. Her other hobbies included sewing, knitting and crocheting, playing golf and helping her husband in his printing shop.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Christine LeBlanc Chatagnier and husband Matthew and Natalie LeBlanc Broussard and husband Treg; two sons, Lynn LeBlanc and Ricky LeBlanc and wife Serena Reaux LeBlanc; her grandchildren, Brody LeBlanc and wife Kellie; Michel Daly and husband Sean; Brock LeBlanc and wife Lanie; Jake Broussard and wife Kaylee; Elizabeth Landry and husband Jonathan; Dylan LeBlanc and Taylor Broussard and husband Justin; and her great grandchildren, Nixon LeBlanc, Grayson Broussard, Caitlyn Daly, Maddison Landry, Connor Daly, Manning LeBlanc, Matthew Landry, Millie LeBlanc and Palmer Broussard.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Reles Jean LeBlanc, her parents, AJ and Mercedes Michel Theriot and one brother, Raymond Theriot.
Pallbearers will be Brody LeBlanc, Jake Broussard, Sean Daly, Brock LeBlanc, Dylan LeBlanc and Justin Broussard.
The family would like to express their appreciation for Acadian Hospice and Heart of Hospice, especially her devoted nurses Doreen and Dana.
