Sally is survived by her son Federico Chavez (Aggie Chavez); her daughter Dorothy Velazquez (Ramiro Velazquez); her daughter Becky Chavez; her daughter Susie Chavez; and her daughter Lupe Gilbreath; her sister Isabel Escalante and her sister Tillie Ahumada.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Chavez; her son Richard Chavez Jr.; her father Joe Salcedo and her mother Estella Pena; her sister Soledad Hernandez; her sister Alice Jimenez; her brother Gustavo Pena; her sister Margaret Mata and her sister Irene Muro.
Sally also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 7 great great-grandchildren, and 3 more on the way to share her memories.
A visitation for Sally will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A rosary will occur Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 4:00 PM, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, September 9, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary's of the Miraculous Medal Parish, 916 Lexington St., Delano, CA 93215. A committal service will occur Friday, September 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
Serving as pallbearers are Mike Chavez Rangel, Tizoc Chavez, Tezozomoc Chavez, Mateus Chavez, Nacho Valle-Chavez, Mateo Valle-Chavez, Ramiro I. Velazquez and Thomas Guerra.
