Robert Marin Coronado

Robert Coronado, 79, was born on December 8, 1936 in Fresno, Ca. Robert passed away on May 27, 2016 in Bakersfield, Ca. Robert is preceded in death by his beloved daughter Jo Ann Coronado, his parents Gonzalo and Tula Coronado, his brothers Richard, Charles & Phillip Coronado, his sisters Lupe Gomez and Rachel Hill.

Robert is survived by his loving wife Martha Coronado and his children Robyn (Danny) Burton grandchildren Joshua, Alexandria & Brianna, his son David (Lenore) grandchildren Britney, Alyssa & Matthew, son Michael (Kellie) grandchildren Christopher, Rae, Ava & Leah.

Robert enjoyed his retirement with Martha from spending time with his children & grandchildren, relaxing at home gardening, to traveling to his granddaughters play softball games.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and was very proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Robert took great joy in coaching his boys (Dave and Mike) in baseball and sitting in the stands cheering them on while they played baseball and football. He especially enjoyed watching all his grandchildren in their sport events from cross country to softball games. Robert was an avid golfer and really enjoyed meeting up with the guys for a quick round of golf after work and on the weekends. Robert was a Finance Manager for Finance and Thrift in Delano for 30 years.

Service will be held as follows: visitation June 6, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M., with a Rosary to follow at 6:00P.M. At Delano Mortuary as well. Robert will be laid to rest at a later day of June 27, 2016 in Sanger, Ca. Memorial mass will be at St. Mary’s Church in Sanger, Ca. with Military Honors immediately following at Sanger District Cemetery 568 S. Rainbow Rd., Sanger, Ca. 93657.
