She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Gary Moore; two daughters, Nadia Robles and husband, Mike of Delano, Lauren Moore of Kodiak, AK; son Peter Moore of Oakland; and three granddaughters, Mallory (Slichter) Madrigal and husband Jose, and Madison Slichter of San Diego, and Riley Robles of Delano. Leah is also survived by her mother, Mary Lerda, sister Peggy Jiles of Delano; brother Frank Lerda of Porterville; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Leah worked as a bookkeeper for her father's welding business for several years. She worked as a teacher's aide at Saint Mary's School while bookkeeping for Gary's construction business and later for their apartments. Leah and Gary volunteered countless hours at Saint Mary's while their kids attended school. She attended every one of the girls' games, cheerleading events, piano lessons, and constantly reinforced the importance of doing well in school and being kind. She adored her grandchildren; picking them up from school and taking them for treats every opportunity she had. Leah continued to instill her legacy of kindness through Gary, her daughters and son, and granddaughters. She was loved by everyone she encountered. Leah was the rock of our family and will live on in all of us.
