Juan was born on March 24, 1931 to the late Juan Sosa Medina & Maria Esperanza Mejia Medina at El Coral Falso in Mazamitla,Jalisco. Juan is survived by his wife Rosenda L. Medina and 7 daughters Eleanor M. Flores, Patricia M. Roman, Isabel Medina, Caroline Medina , Linda M. Santiago, Helen Medina, Anita M. Herreria and 15 grandchildren including 12 great grandchildren. Juan is preceded in death by his parents, Brothers Miguel Mejia Medina, Rodolfo Mejia Medina, Jose Mejia Medina, and sisters Rosita Medina Perez, Rosario Medina Cisneros. Juan is also survived by his 3 siblings Consuelo Medina Chavez, of Mazamitla, Jalisco, Josefina Medina Sanchez, of Delano, Maria Medina Loya, of Wasco,Ca. Juan came from a Family of 10 including his father & mother. Juan arrived to United States in 1950 for a better future that's when he met his Love Rosenda L. Medina in 1951. Married in 1952 and had 7 girls. Juan was know to be a hard worker rain or shine. Some company's Juan worked for were Mossesian Farming, Gibson Irrigation in Delano and later worked for Corp Winery in Delano and Retired from Perelli-Mintti Winery in Delano . Juan was know to have a great love for his wife Rosenda and 7 girls and grand children also great grandchildren. Juan was a very loved and spoiled father and always got his way. Dad loved and enjoyed talking about his up bringing by his Dad & Mom and big brother Miguel Medina who Dad looked up to and missed very much. Dad at age 91 had a very good memory when it came to talking about his past up bringing and how he was always around his uncles , aunties and cousin's and would clearly remember great times with them. Juan loved animals and nature. Juan owned his own horse in Mazamitla, Jalisco and his father and mother raised beautiful cattle. Juan had a passion for Horses , Gallos and Piños Juan new what roosters were great for cock fighting and even new the brand names of roosters. Juan enjoyed being outdoors observing God creation. Juan found going up to the mountains and seeing the red wood trees peaceful and breath taking. Juan was a special father, family man, friend and important to many people. Dad was always with his love Rosenda and could not be anywhere with out her. Juan enjoyed his Ranchera music and would dance to 7 songs Jarabe Tapatio with out stopping. Juan enjoyed his Reposado Tequila and Juan was a true Tequilero and always had his Home town Mazamitla, Jalisco in heart. Juan introduced Tequila to his 7 girls and grandchildren Juan enjoyed at his younger age entertraining relatives at home and cooking Birria de chivo. Juan was a very strict father with his 7 girls and wife. Juan was so strict that his daughters could not even look out the front window at home or even be In thier front yard. When Juan 7 girls were in school, at thier lunch hour Juan would cruz around the school making sure he did not catch his daughters off of school ground or walking or talking with any boys. Juan always made sure that his seven girls had breakfast every morning before they went to school and that included their vitamins too. Juan thanked God for never seeing any of his 7 daughters walking with a guy or hugging them during school hours or any other time.. Juan always made sure is daughters had the best in clothing , shoes and money to buy thier snacks at school. Juan loved taking his 7 girls up to the mountains, beach, Fresno Zoo and vacations. Juan would load up his truck with barbecue stuff and his girls would ride in the back of the truck. Juan and his wife Rosenda loved when thier 7 daughter would sign "10 Little Monkeys" to him and thier mom too. Juan and his wife like surprising thier 7 girls with New cars every once in a while. Juan loved dressing up and going places and shopping. Juan was a very energetic father and very particular and neat at things. Juan was very strict at home and always had all 7 girls on weekends and summer break cleaning house early in the morning and that included outside too. Juan always said the home needs to be clean before going anywhere and also Juan never liked to see his daughters in the kitchen with their PJs on or he would make them go to their room and dress up to look presentable for the day. Juan will truly be missed by Family, Friends, Relatives
