He lived an abundant life filled with joy and was an avid lover of reading, woodworking, gardening, painting, movies, lover of all music (especially jazz and opera), sports and an expert chess player. He was also a devoted practitioner of the martial arts Tai Chi, having attended different Tai Chi related events in Kern County and loved exercising daily. He is survived by his wife Leonora Peraza and his children Anthony, Jocelyn, Robert and Fermin. He was pre-deceased by his son Jorge Peraza. His warmth, love, generosity, passion for learning and kindness will be missed by all.
A visitation for Henry will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215 with Rosary at 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1015 Clinton St., Delano, CA 93215 with a burial to follow at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
A reception will follow after the services at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, Nelmida Reception Room, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215 from 10:30 - 12:30 PM.
Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Peraza, Roberto Peraza, Daniel Ryan, Januard Niño Degamo, Jan Steward Degamo, Feb Sofronio Degamo, Jonny Sablas Sr. and Jonny Sablas Jr..
