Adeline Antonell was born Adeline Habbie Addy on July 30, 1918 in Bakersfield, California. During her younger years, her parents moved her along with her older siblings, Lorraine and James, to the peach ranch they had purchased outside of Yuba City, California. Here she happily spent her formative years.
Upon graduation from high school, she went to San Jose State College and eventually became a primary school teacher. Her first teaching position in Lamont, California brought her back to Kern County. She taught in Lamont until she met and married Emil B. ("Swede") Antonell.
Swede and Addie settled in Delano, California where he farmed. They raised four children (Michelle, Tina, Mike and Peter) in Delano. Addie was involved in substitute teaching, the Episcopal Church, Bluebirds and Campfire Girls, Hospital "candy-stripers", the Kern County Grand Jury, and much Bridge playing. Her positive spirit, sense of humor, and elegance will be missed.
She is survived by her four children, seven grand- children, and six great-grand-children.
