Viola “Jean” Dahl was born February 16, 1943 in Welling, Oklahoma, the daughter of Claude and Ola (Moore) Cain. She passed from this life November 15, 2019, at the age of 76. Viola grew up in Welling, OK and was raised in the Church of the 1st Born. She had worked for Western Electric, Tinker AFB and retired from GM. She enjoyed dancing the 2 step, swing dancing and playing poker; on nice days you could find her sitting in the sun while spending time with family, grandkids and friends. Almost everyone that knew her called her “Mama Jean”. Her favorite vacation was traveling to Las Vegas to see Elvis. She was an avid OU and OKC Thunder fan. Viola loved to eat lobster and crab legs. Her proudest moments were the births of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who loved her dearly. “Jean” was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Taylor Don Heintzelman and siblings, Steve Cain, Estell Cain, Freeman Cain, Charlie Cain, Elsie Christie, Thelma Edwards and Wanda Cain. She is survived by her children, Rickey Gaches and wife Kelly of Clifton, Texas, LaDonna Heintzelman of Midwest City and Michael Gaches of Del City; siblings, Jay Cain, Larry Cain, Loretta Dickson, and Galela Bowman; grandchildren, Ashli Smith, Brady Gaches, Brandon, Taylor and Chase Heintzelman, Kaylie and Kasen Price; great-grandchildren, Zaydi, Kash and Brandon Heintzelman; and 4 bonus great-grandchildren, Arianna, Nolan, Aubrey and Tatum. She was dearly loved by her family, extended family and a large host of friends and will be greatly missed by all!
