Tim was a proud US Veteran, having served in the US Navy during Vietnam and the Oklahoma Air National Guard during Desert Storm and Desert Shield. Tim retired from the Federal Aeronautical Administration in 1995 as a Radar Technician after 31 years. He was a faithful member and Elder of Grace Baptist Church in Oklahoma City as well as a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 39 of Midwest City where he served as the Chaplain. In his spare time he also enjoyed playing golf.
He had no intentions of leaving this earth soon and was not concerned with his own mortality but for the eternity of everyone he came in contact with. He recently shared his testimony with his congregation impacting many, "I don't read my Bible so I can know when He is coming back. I read my Bible so I can know how I'm supposed to live until He comes back."
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patsy Ann Gardner; along with their two children; Larry and Shelley Mustain of Spencer, OK and David and Darla Gardner of Ennis, TX; 4 grandchildren, Christopher and Austin King, Jacob and Madalie Gardner; two brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Grace Baptist Church, Oklahoma City with Pastor Ben Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Grace Baptist Church, 3141 NW 10th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73107, Oklahoma City, OK.
