Thomas “Tom” Curtis Hart, Sr., 82, of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on March 10, 2013, in Aurora, IL. Tom was born on December 22, 1930, in Mansfield, AR to King Edward and Laura (Condry) Hart. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Tom worked at the Blackwell Police Department for ten years and also at the Blackwell Zinc Co.; he was a reserve deputy for Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office and served on the Bomb Squad from 1985-1999; later working for W.R. Grace and Homco Drilling and Fishing Co. as a location supervisor. He began work at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in 1982 and retired in 2011. Tom was a member of Myrtle Masonic Lodge, a 32nd KCCH Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite Temple of Guthrie, India Shrine Center OKC, Oriental Band and Arab Patrol. Additionally, Tom was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Tom attended South Lindsay Baptist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 41 years, Geraldine Hart; siblings, Edward K. Hart, Vanda Hart, Edith Clary, and Euva Liotta; Survivors include his son, Thomas C. Hart, Jr. and wife Lynn; siblings, Beverly Crum and her husband David and Luneal Jones. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Military Honors will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery. In Tom's memory, memorial donations may be to India Shrine Hospital Childrens Transportation Fund, 3601 NW 36th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
