

Tom was born in Oklahoma City to Betty Sue and Jimmy Lee Carlton. He attended school in Crooked Oak and Mid Del Schools in Del City, and went on to attend College at East Central University in Ada, OK.
He was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity / Gamma XI Chapter. He was very proud to be a “Phi Tau” and cherished his fraternity brothers and their adventures.
Tom made friends quickly everywhere he went and touched the lives of countless people, always doing his best to stay in touch with them. He is lovingly known as “Uncle Tom” to all of his friends’ children and always encouraged them at every opportunity.
He was an avid and fierce fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Green Bay Packers football teams.
He embraced life and took advantage of every opportunity he was presented. He traveled across the U.S. for many years while helping to build a business. He lived in Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois and most recently returned to Midwest City and was employed by Locke Supply.
He also loved to read and constantly add to his robust vocabulary and knowledge. He would also sing, playing his guitar, given an opportunity, and was somewhat of a modern day “Troubadour”.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother Betty Sue Carlton, his father, Jimmy Lee Carlton, his brother Bill Carlton and Bill’s daughter Jessica.
He is survived by Bill’s wife Janice.
Visitation will be Monday, September 18th, 2023 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City, OK.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, September 19th at 10:00 am in the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor David Daniel.
Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, OK.
