Tammy was born in Enid, Oklahoma to Delbert and Nina Gensler on August 18, 1959. Tammy was an excellent student graduating from Midwest City High School in 1977. Tammy is preceded in death by her father Delbert, brother Mike, and sister Cindy who she affectionately nicknamed “Puff.” She leaves behind a son BJ Howard and wife Adrienne, two daughters Jessi and Carrie O’Quinn, and 5 grandchildren, Luke, Penny, Mason, Drew, and Beau. She is also survived by her mother Nina, sister Linda Kaufmann and husband Michael, their children Matt and Lauren and nephew John Gensler. Tammy began working at Lopez Foods, formerly Anderson Meats in 1982. She adored her work family, and held many positions there during her 38-year career. Tammy worked hard, and she played hard. She loved to sew and made many beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and especially spending time with her beloved companion Rick McAdams. She and Rick rode motorcycles, hung out by the pool, and attended church together. Rick was even turning her into a Sooners fan, and took her to her first OU/Texas game last fall. Tammy could make people feel better just by visiting with them, and she always tried to put a positive spin on any situation. She was loyal and supportive to her family, friends, and employer. It is certain that her father, brother, and sister met her in heaven with an extra fishing pole for that “honey hole.”
