Throughout her life she worked in many exciting career fields including working with the Douglas Aircraft Corporation during the Second World War, creating bulkheads for the C47 and C54 Airplanes. Douglas Aircraft sold the last plane after the war to the Army riveters. She worked for Walter E. Allen and made pup-tents for the Army and was the smallest person to ever turn out a tent for the company. She worked for Luper E. Allen on 3rd Street and made Army pants and jackets. She then worked for Guy James and made Levis and worked with Zula Bay as a supervisor over the Levi Manufacturing Department. She also worked for Luper Leather goods and made purses. She worked for Western Electric and made wire for the switchboard, she also worked for Oklahoma Memorial Hospital for six years in the sewing department. She was a gifted and talented seamstress with over 75 years of experience.
Survivors in addition to her husband Roy Howard, include one daughter, Sarah Ann Story and husband Chuck of California; four Grandchildren, Julie Story, Deborah Chipana and husband Alex, Michelle Rolle and husband Brian from California, and Cynthia Bingenheimer with husband Tom from Wyoming; a Grandson, Wesley James Rolle; a Sister, Christine Wallace; two brothers, Leo Johnson and William Johnson of McEwen Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
