Sondra Marie Bates

Sondra Marie Bates, Age 54, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Integris Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Sondra was born March 31, 1966 in Oakland, CA to Garvin and Patricia (Lawrence) Franks. Sondra attended Midwest City High School, and in 2018 graduated from Rose State College in Midwest City, Ok. Sondra worked at Aaron’s where she would collect on delinquent accounts while showing empathy and compassion to her customers situations, A large portion of Sondra’s life was spent helping others. She was a member of Del City Church of Christ where she volunteered as a pantry worker and Wiz kids tutor. She also helped take care of others when sick or in need. Sondra enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and listening to Christian/country music. Above all Sondra loved to spend time with her family. Sondra was a proud mother and grandmother; a loving daughter, sister, and aunt; and a caring friend to many. Sondra was preceded in death by her father Garvin Franks, brothers Randy and Gregory Franks, daughter Angela Ochoa, and nephew Jonathan Franks. Sondra is survived by Her mother Patricia Franks, Her sons Max and Matthew Goodwin, daughter Amber Turner, 10 grandchildren, sisters Sherri Maguire, Criss Chappell, and Melonie Copeland, and several nieces and nephews. Service’s will be held at Del City Church of Christ Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 2pm.
