Shirley Mae Garrett

Shirley Mae Garrett, 74, passed away on June 21, 2015. She was born on October 28, 1940 Buckeye, Arizona to Orville Marion and Cordie Marie (Bishop) Payne. Shirley married Edgar Floyd Garrett on October 13, 1968 and the two shared 35 years together before his passing in 2003. She enjoyed her flower garden, grandkids, treasure hunting, Lake Days, watching the neighborhood kids play kick ball in the streets, making floral baskets, and traveling the U.S. by motorcycle with her husband. Every year she looked forward to their trips to Minnesota. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edgar; son, Albert Eugene “Joe” Richardson; and sister, Judy Ann Martins. Survivors include her daughters, Taunya Lynn Burger, Dorothy Lee Garrett; grandchildren, Todd Garrett, Corey Burger, Monica Ramey (Blake), Clyde Burger (Tiffany Meyers), Rachel Gilliland, Parker Buoy; great-grandchildren, Payden “Sunshine” Ramey, Cheyenne “Buttercup” Burger, and Hunter “Hunk” Ramey; sisters, Dortha Scanlan and Leah Rodriguez.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m, Wednesday, June 24, 2015 in the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel.
