Ruby L. Strickland

Ruby always kept herself busy even if it meant going out in her yard and pulling weeds. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed providing for her family through cooking and baking. She enjoyed dogs and walking; she even kept walking in her later years of living in the nursing home. In her early years, she was an avid member of the Sooner Baptist Church and loved listening to the traditional church hymns.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lee E. Scott; second husband, Doyce Strickland; and sisters, Winnie, Pauline, and Opal. Survivors include her children, Diane Moryl, and Gary Scott and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Jessica and Joshua Scott; and brother-in-law, George Scott and wife Barbara.

A viewing will be held Friday March 11, 2016 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Arlington Memory Gardens mausoleum with interment to follow.
