Roy "Dee" Jackson

He was born on November 7, 1949 to Roy B. and Bessie (Downing) Jackson in Oklahoma CIty, Oklahoma. He attended Crooked Oak Schools where he played baseball. After high school, Roy joined the United States Army.

Roy married his first wife Belva while in the United States Army. They share two sons Scot and Roy Jr. They later divorced. Roy married Lonna Cox in November of 1978. They had one son together, Shawn.

He worked as an automotive parts manager, and retired from Boomer Kia.

He was an avid OU sports fan. You would often find him watching OU football or women’s softball games on tv. He loved spending time camping and hanging out with friends and family.

Roy is survived by his wife Lonna, son Scot and his wife Shelby, his son Roy Jr. and grandchildren Scoti, Cristi, Jace and Trinidi.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Bessie, brothers Dale and Don, sister Shirley Huey, his pride and joy Shawn Jackson, nephew David Jackson and nieces Josie Cloud and Tammy Huey.

A visitation for Roy will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery, 4000 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 16th at 2pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma with Hayden Hefner officiating.

Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Scot Jackson, Scoti Jackson, Jace Jackson, Luther Dawson, Wesley Dawson, and Conner Dawson.
