He belonged to St. Matthews United Methodist Church where he enjoyed attending service with his wife and occasionally other family members. He loved cruises with his beautiful bride, working outdoors, being a daddy, watching his grandkids and a good Johnny Cash song any time of day. He will be remembered for his smile, his beautiful story telling abilities, and the way he made everyone around him feel. He loved to make people laugh and sought harmony and joy in every situation. He made everyone feel like a someone.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Judith Lambert, his children Billy Dow Lambert and Wife Phyllis Lambert, John Eric Lambert and Jennifer Marie Coakley and husband, Wayne Coakley , his grandchildren and great grandchildren Jesse Allan Sappington and daughter Declynn Elizabeth Sappington, Kaci Danyell Ogan and husband Andrew Ogan and son Oliver David Ogan and daughter Lily Ruth Ogan.
He was welcomed at heavens gates by his father, Charles Hoyt Lambert, mother Marie Juliette Lambert and son Robert Wayne Lambert.
