Robert “R.C.” Chapa, Retired USN Senior Chief Petty Officer, 83, of Fairfield, Tx passed away October 22, 2011. He was born August 8, 1928 in Mission, Tx to Juan and Herminia Guzman Chapa. Robert served his country during WWII and the Korean War, with many commendations.
R.C., retired Civil Service from TAFB in 1990. Robert is survived by a brother Arturo Chapa of Pearland Texas, a sister Olympia Gray of Houston Texas, two daughters, Rosita Ingerson and husband Stacy of Choctaw, Rita Davison of Nicoma Park, One son Richard Chapa and wife Sharon of Choctaw. Grandchildren, Wendy Nelson, April Robertson, Robert E. Chapa, Thomas Driver, Eric Tatom, Glen Chapa, Ronald Vachon and Karla Johnson. 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosa Rodriguez Chapa and son Robert “Bob” Chapa, brother-in-law William Gray, nephews Alfredo Chapa and Valentin Villarreal. Visitation will be Wednesday October 26, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
