As a fellow name holder and United States Marine, rest well brother, we have the watch. 

I will never forget Robert and  Chris' guitar-playing and hymn-singing at the Bell Family Reunion of 1999, held at sister Joan's house. (Robert's mother and my mother were sisters).  I'm still blessed by that memory__a foretaste of heaven.

My brother Robert was much more than a brother to me.  He was my confidant, friend and the Best Man at mine and Gerann's wedding.  I have many precious memories.  He and Inez were always supportive of me and two of my best "cheerleaders".  They attended my high school & college graduations and my graduation from flight school.  Robert influenced me in my military career; he was a Marine in the early 50s and had been in JROTC at West Fulton High School.  I admired him, respected him and loved him; I will miss him and cling to those precious memories.  Your "baby" brother Steve

I meet the man when I was very young. I respected him from that first day. He will be missed.

Uncle Robert was my guitar playing, joke telling, fun loving uncle. There was never a dull moment around Uncle Robert. I loved when he and Aunt Inez would come visit in Georgia; and I especially loved when they lived in Georgia for a few years. I will miss that sweet country singing voice! Until we meet again in Heaven...

When I was a kid, Uncle Robert would visit for a night whenever he was trucking through the Atlanta area. He always brought his guitar, and his own personalized versions of Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash would fill the house.

I marveled at how he could play AND sing at the same time! In fact, I was so inspired during one of his visits that I decided I wanted to learn how to do that.

A couple of years later, I'd get a chance to pick alongside my musical inspiration. He'd show me a couple of tricks and chord shapes, and I'd put 'em right into practice. I eventually went on to college, and learned a bunch of "uppity" music knowledge.  :)

From then on, every time I got to pick with Uncle Robert, he'd show me a few guitar things I hadn't tried yet, and then he'd say, "Now you show me some of them minors you been learning."  :)  That's what was cool about Uncle Robert--he knew a lot of stuff and was willing to show others, but he was also willing to receive from others, too.

He's certainly gonna be missed...  but we'll meet him on the other side.  And when we do, I'm sure he'll have a whole lotta stuff to show us about the Place he's been helping to get ready for us.  :)

We love you and will miss you greatly brother and uncle, Robert. Prayers and thoughts are with the rest of our family.

This man was my dancing partner for so many years.  Inez didn't dance and Gene didn't dance so that sat and watched us dance.  Today, he's celebrating with loved ones who went before him and someday he and I will dance together again.

I remember my uncle Robert from my childhood years. A real truck driver. He dressed the part with large belt buckles, sideburns and western boots. And always a western shirt. He loved to sing and play guitar. We loved it too. Together with my beautiful aunt Inez they were the perfect couple. I miss those days of childhood wonder in which he was larger than life.. a vivid memory of him and his family that I'll always hold dear. Until we meet again Uncle Robert.

So many memories of Uncle Robert and Inez and all those Georgia summers.  Wouldn't trade them for anything in this world.  My funniest would be when I went with Inez to take Julie and Tomara back to OK from GA.  We rode with Uncle Robert in the big truck to the Elvis Presley mansion then got in the car and rode on with Inez.  Remember Tomara getting mad about having to ride in the back and she kicked and screamed for miles.  The more we laughed the more she cried.    Really enjoyed the ride with Uncle Robert in the big truck.  Love you so much Uncle Robert and Inez and always looked forward to those summertime visits.  He is the only uncle that I refer to as Uncle.  He always insisted that we call him Uncle Robert. Rest in peace sweet man and give Papa, Maw maw and William a hug for me.  By the way.. You got my vote for TRUMP 2016!!! No other vote.

You will always live in our hearts and prayers.
