Ricky Ray Joiner

Ricky Ray Joiner left us on December 28, 2019. Rick was born October 13, 1970 to Rex and Rheta (Taylor) Joiner. Rick grew up in Del City, Oklahoma and graduated from Del City High School in 1988. Growing up Rick enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his dad and older brothers Ron & Randy. He enjoyed playing foosball and softball in his wilder days. Rick loved OSU Cowboys and enjoyed College Game Days. He loved riding his Harley motorcycle, watching movies and listening to music. He had an ability to memorize song lyrics, movie lines as well as college football game scores and plays!

Rick and Jeanne (Westfall) met in high school. They dated three different times - 1987, 1992 and 1997. Rick’s mom asked during their third time dating ‘is this the second or third time dating?’ - ‘third time.’ Rheta said ‘third times a charm.’ Their son Riley was born in June 1999. Rick & Jeanne married in a small family ceremony on January 1, 2000 in Carrollton, Texas. Their daughter Sydney was born in July 2000.

As the Central Region Area Manager for Cox Fleet Services, Rick enjoyed his career, and was a very loyal, valued and respected employee of Cox Enterprises for almost fourteen years.

Rick is survived by his wife Jeanne, son Riley and daughter Sydney (friend Harley Kelton) of the home. Father Rex Joiner and wife Barbara; brother Ron (Cindy); brother Randy (Traci); sister-in-law Kim Turner (Alan). Nieces and Nephews Tiffany & Blake Loveless, Tony & Rachel Joiner, Kylie & Chase Lindsey, Joshua Joiner and Dane Turner. Great Nephews Maddox and Dash Loveless. Aunts and Uncles Dan & Ann Taylor and Paul & Barbara Van Ness. As well as extended family and many friends.

Rick is preceded in death by his mother Rheta (Taylor) Joiner; maternal grandparents Elizabeth Marcheta (Barrett) and Dan Taylor Sr; paternal grandparents Willard Alonzo and Alpha (Duvall) Joiner; mother-in-law Bobbie (Duvall) Westfall.

Final resting place is Sunnylane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma.
