Richard Allen McClanahan

Richie was born in Lexington, Kentucky on September 2 1964 to Joe Jr and Peggy (Hatfield) McClanahan. He moved to Oklahoma with his family when he was young. During his teenage years him and his family moved to Spinger, Oklahoma, where Richie graduated from Springer High School in May of 1982.

He worked in the oil field industry right after high school and work in the oil field industry most of his life.

He loved to travel, watch football, watching and going to NASCAR racing. He enjoyed watching Hockey on T.V. and going to a game or two. Being from Kentucky he was a gambling man, especially the horse races and he enjoyed the poker table at casinos. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints, loved riding his Harley and having a beer or two with friends.

Richie was preceded in death by his mother Peggy, and father Joe jr. and his beloved dog, Belladonna “Bella”.

Richie is survived by his brother, Joe McClanahan III, sister-in-law Pam, His nephews Michael Reed, and Little Joe McClanahan IV, wife Nikkie, Great nieces and nephews, Cheyenne, Jordan, Joe V, Myla, Elizabeth and Levi.

A memorial service for Richard will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home, 4000 Se 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
