Ray Clell Hogan, 92, passed away on February 22, 2017. He was born on January 14, 1925 in Jones, OK to Otis Lake and Carrie Mae (Beal) Hogan. Ray graduated from Jones High School and then enlisted to serve his country during WWII in the U.S. Army; serving in Central Europe, the Rhineland, and the Ardennes at the Battle of the Bulge. After the war he married Gerry Flowers in 1947 and they had one daughter, Linda. In 1962 Ray married Ernestine Mullins, and the two resided in MWC until her passing. He retired as a supervisor from TAFB which then gave him more time to fish at his second home, Lake Eufaula, which he maintained for over 40 years. Ray was a member of the V.F.W 40 Et 8 and enjoyed watching old westerns, and football. He could build anything he put his mind to, homes, shops, he was amazing with his hands. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ernestine; brothers, Ross and Roy Hogan; step-siblings, J.W. Hogan and Reva Ledinski. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Hogan (Debbie Eastland); loving friends, Clendon and Sue Roberts; grandchildren, Billy Florer and Angela Precure; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Dad loved them both and considered them family. The family wishes to thank Manor Care Nursing Home for their excellent care of Ray. Their love and kindness will always be remembered. Also, thanks to Physician’s Choice Hospice for their care in dad’s final days. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2017.
