Otis Carey

Otis B. Carey, 81, of Oklahoma City, passed away December 11, 2017 at his home. He was born April 15, 1936 in Oklahoma City, the son of Othel and Zora (Clark) Carey. Otis had lived in Oklahoma City all of his life. He loved to work on his farm raising cattle. He enjoyed deer hunting, racing, and demolition derbies. Otis and Ruth Burns were united in marriage on September 6, 1957 in Oklahoma City. They owned and operated Carey CCC Auto Salvage for 47 years. He was also a 32 degree Mason and member of the Shrine. Otis was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth Carey of Oklahoma City; sons, Ronnie Carey of Newalla and Bryon Carey of Moore; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at the New Life Assembly of God Church, 4121 SE 59th Street, Oklahoma City. Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City.
