Maxine Louise Waller of Norman, OK, passed away on March 9, 2011. She was born in West Plains, MO, to Sid and Blanch Vaughan. She graduated from West Plains High School in 1945. Soon after high school, she married Bob Smith with whom she had one daughter, Rebecca Smith, and two sons, Ronnie Smith and Steve Smith. The family moved to Del City, OK, on July 5, 1959 where she became a top producing realtor after her children were grown. Maxine loved to dance and to travel. Her dad nicknamed her "Trip" because she was always ready to take a trip. She was jitterbug dancer growing up in West Plains. Later in life she married Cleat Waller. They enjoyed traveling to several states where she never met a stranger. She always liked to dance - swing, waltz, and two step. Maxine made friends easily with her affectionate and outgoing personality. Three years ago Maxine discovered she had cancer. During treatments she also began suffering from dementia. She has resided at the Grace Living Center in Norman for the past 17 months. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, and sister, Eula Mae Fite. She is survived by her husband, Cleat of the home, a brother, Leroy Vaughan, of West Plains, MO, a daughter, Rebecca of OKC, OK, a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Judy of OKC, OK, and a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jo of Del City, OK. In addition she is survived by 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. A service for Maxine is at the Sunny Lane Funreal Home at 4000 SE 29th in Del City, OK at 9:30 AM, on Sat, March 12, 2011. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Bob at the Sunny Lane Cemetery.
