Lorena Roberts

Lorena grew up in Chickasha, Oklahoma and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1956 where she was known to many as “Cookie”. She later married her childhood friend, Chester Lee Roberts on April 15, 1979 after dating for eleven years. Lorene had three beautiful children, Vanessa Morgan (Shawn) of Del City, Dotty Cole of Del City and Cornelius Terry (Anita) of Oklahoma City and two step children, Javlin Chatman of Richmond, California and Beatrice Felder of Austin, Texas.

Lorena joined First Baptist Church of Chickasha, Oklahoma in her early years. She later became a member of The Church of the Living God, The Pillar & Ground of the Truth #1 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She retired from Chromalloy after 24 years of employment. She enjoyed going to the casino, thrift shopping, fishing and spending time with her family.

Lorena is survived by her husband Chester, one daughter Vanessa, only son Cornelius, two step daughters Javlin and Beatrice, her brothers Marcellous, James and Charles, her sisters Louester and Bertha, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson, many nieces and nephews, cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louester Orange and Lacey Wilson, her mother and father in law Odell and Janie Roberts, her grandparents William “Bill” Jenkins and Lucinda Jenkins, her brothers Leonard, Meadow, Lois Jr, Donald Ray and Gerald Sr., her brother in laws Lovell and Delroy, her sisters Virginia Ruth, Mildred, Linda, Laura, and Lacie Mae, her sister in laws Gwendolyn, Jessie Lorene and Jeanester Williams, and Ferry, her daughter Dotty, her granddaughter Nena and her grandson Rob.

Funeral services for Lorena will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 2, 2017 at the Church of the Living God. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
