Kaylan Vaughn Smith

Kaylan Vaughn Smith, age 78 passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Kaylan was born on April 29, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Willie and Lila (Minter) Smith. He worked as a machinist for many years, and retired as a machinist from Tinker AFB. He enjoyed fishing and skiing on his boat, gardening, and woodworking. He also coached his daughter’s Women's Softball team and the co-ed softball team Longshots from Midwest City. He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lila Smith; wife Linda Smith; and siblings, Lee, Carl Dee, Willie Jr., Johnny (JB), Dale, Sara, and, Mosel.

He is survived by his wife Jane Smith; daughter Tammy Creek (husband Steve); step-daughter Gail Bradley (husband Gene); step-son Mark Charlson (wife Audrey); step-daughter Nancy Williams (husband Jason); step-daughter Renae Duncan (husband Rusty); grandchildren Matthew, Shane, and Corey; step-grandchildren Dylan, David, Erik, Tyler, Josie, Jace, Bryce, Jackie, and Cambri; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ruth Owen and Baylas Smith (wife Penny).

A memorial service for Kaylan will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, OK 73115.
