Juanita was born in Benjamin, TX to James and Lillian Smith Talley. She was a Liberty Baby being born on the 4th of July. She attended school in Rochester, TX. She met her future husband “Smitty” on a blind date. Juanita was a military wife, working at Douglas Aircraft during the war, and was also a Rosie the Riveter. She liked to read her Bible, and loved gardening. Juanita never met a stranger and loved everyone she met.
Juanita is survived by her son Jerry and wife Kathy smith, daughter, LaDonna Smith, grandchildren; Shawn Smith, Kim and husband Anthony Hill, Tim Smith, Michael Smith, David Smith, Christa and husband Julio Bernal and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband A.L. “Smitty Smith, one son, Larry Smith, and one sister Mozelle Canada.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sat. Dec. 15, 2018 at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
