John Joseph Sears, 64, of Oklahoma City passed away August 20, 2018. He was born on August 27, 1953 to Eugene Albert and Charlotte Anne (Chisler) Sears in Grand Rapids, Michigan. John graduated from The University of Oklahoma with an Associate’s Degree and worked as a supply clerk at Tinker Air Force Base for 42 years. He loved fixing things and spending time with his family.
John is survived by his wife, Ba Le Sears; daughers, Charlene Abbott Yates and Jennifer Frieze; step-daughter Minh Lethi; son, Daniel Sears; five grandchildren; one great grandson; brother, Duane Sears; sisters, Pam Long and Sheila Oliver; half siblings, Gary, Jeanne, Julia, Jackie, Tina, Vicki, Rosemary, and Diane.
He is preceded in death by his parens, Eugene and Charlotte; brothers, Norman and Brian Sears; sister, Teresa; and step siblings Gerald and Cathy.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home.
