John Brian Hurst, 55, passed away June 26, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. John was born November 22, 1954 in Oklahoma City, OK to Claude R. and Dorothy (Gladish) Hurst. He served his country proudly in the Navy and was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked for many years as a CMT Operations Manager and was a constant teacher at work. He never met a stranger, he could start a conversation with anyone he would meet.
He enjoyed Nascar, especially Casey King, OU football, boating, playing with dogs and his grandchildren, and daughters. He would rescue animals he would find out on the street. He is survived by his finance: Ruth Wehr; daughers: Leslie Muze, Aimee Felder; numerous grandchildren; brother: Larry Hurst and wife Louise. Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, June 28, 2010 at Sunny Lane Chapel.
