Jimmie C. Williams, 92, passed away on August 1, 2021. He was born on April 2, 1929 in Choctaw, OK to Joseph Howard and Ollie Delilah (Barnes) Williams. He grew up in Choctaw with his 3 siblings, and helped work on the family farm. He was married to Carolyn VanCleave for 56 years, and together they had five children. Jimmie worked as a truck driver for Longbell Lumber Co. and retired after 20+ years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, and loved John Wayne movies. He and his wife loved the lake, so they moved to Cedar Lake after his retirement. He was a very quiet and simple man, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ollie Williams; siblings, Kenneth Williams, Joseph Williams, and Florence Williams; and grandchildren, Amanda Stephenson, Atlas Williams, and Erik Whitson.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Williams; children, Diana Hines (husband Stanley Ping), Deborah Yaniro (husband Ray Yaniro), Joseph Williams (wife Rose Williams), Angie Walker (husband Leon Walker), and Jimmie “Jimbo” Williams (wife Julie Williams); and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Visitation for Jimmie will be from 8:30am-5pm Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City, OK. Services will be at 2pm Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home with burial to follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla, OK.
